For several years Metalplast-Bielsko S.A. has had in its offer an internal partition system with MB-45F fire-resistance doors in class E30. In the year 2003, the company presented a new, technically advanced system of MB-78EI, which is characteristic both for fire resistance and tightness. It meets the steadily increasing strict requirements of Polish and European standards concerning the constructions that define a safety zone for people and possessions during an evacuation from a burning building.

The system of MB-78EI fire partitions is intended for making internal or external fire partitions with single or double sash doors with a fire resistance class of EI15, EI30, EI45 or EI60, according to the PN-B-02851-1:1997 norm.

To a great extent, it is compatible with the standard window/door systems of Metalplast-Bielsko S.A. - MB-45, MB-60 and MB-70 (they have common sections, details, hardware, treatment processes, etc).

The structure of the MB-78 EI system is based on aluminum profiles with thermal breaks. The construction depth of the section is 78 mm. The profiles are characteristic for a low overall heat-transfer co-efficient U, thanks to the application of, among others, special profiled thermal breaks, with the width of 34 mm. The system allows for the use of all types of fire-resistant glass panels of appropriate class (infill thickness from13 to 49 mm). Within this system also smoke-proof structures in several versions are available. The tests carried out at the Building Technology Institute in Warsaw also proved that products manufactured in this system have very good sound-proofing (up to 40 dB).

The MB-78EI system received the Technical Approval from the Building Technology Institute in Warsaw and has the Technical Approval ITB no AT-15-6006/2003 as well as the ITB-642/W/03certificate .
