aluminium / metalplast systems / mb-70

MB-70 is a modern aluminum system intended for projects requiring thermal and acoustic insulation for exterior building elements, such as various types of windows, doors, entrance enclosures, display windows, space structures, etc.

The system profiles have a 3-chamber structure. The structural depth of the window sections is 70 mm for frames and 79 mm for sashes/casements, and for doors - 70 mm and 70 mm respectively. Such structural depths of the frame and sash sections give a smooth flat effect from the exterior after closing in the case of a window, and a surface facing of the leafs and frames in the case of doors. The shape of the profiles allows to achieve shapely and lasting window and door structures.

The MB-70 system has a brilliantly low value of the overall heat-transfer co-efficient U thanks to the application of thermal breaks and gaskets. This is of great significance in the times of growing demands concerning energy efficiency and environment protection. The profiles of this system meet the thermal requirements for the material group 1 in the case of windows ( the highest thermal insulation in aluminum windows), and 2.1 in the case of doors, according to DIN 4108.

In the system, there have been used profiled "omega" shape thermal breaks, with a width of 34mm (windows) and 24mm (doors), made from polyamide reinforced with fiberglass. The offered shape of thermal breaks increases the profile rigidity as compared to flat breaks and facilitates the section drainage, at the same ensuring time an appropriate thermal insulation in all atmospheric conditions. The thermal breaks used in the windows have additional gaskets on the joining point of the section and the break, as well as tongues dividing the chamber between the internal and external aluminum sections into three parts.

Thanks to the application of, among others, thermal breaks with such shapes it is not necessary to fill the space between the breaks with polyurethane foam or foamed styrene inserts to increase their thermal insulation. The tightness is ensured thanks to the application of special gaskets made of two-component synthetic rubber EPDM: of solid and cellular type, which guarantees its durability endurance for many years in use as well as very good thermal insulation. MB-70 is the first system in which this type of material has been used to create the central gasket.

The system allows for the use of glass sets from 21 mm to 57 mm thick in window sashes, as well as from 12 mm to 48 mm in fixed windows and door leafs. Such a wide thickness range of infill guarantees the possibility of using all typical and atypical glass panes. A wide choice of colors in the standard pallet makes it possible to meet the most demanding needs of our customers. The color coatings are made by powder coating or anodizing methods.
