aluminium / metalplast systems / mb-60

The MB-60 is a modern system intended for projects requiring thermal and acoustic insulation for exterior building elements, such as different types of windows, doors and entrance enclosures, display windows, space structures, etc. The system profiles have a 3-chamber structure. The structural depth of the window sections measures 60 mm for frames and 69 mm for sashes/casements, and for doors 60 mm and 60 mm, respectively. Such used measures of sash and frame sections give the effect of one surface from the external side after closing in the case of a window, and the facing effect of leaves and frames in the case of a door. The shape of the profiles allows to obtain shapely and lasting window and door structures. There is a possibility of profile bending, such as frames, sashes/casements/leafs and lattices which allows to achieve a variety of arches and arch structures.

The MB-60 system has a low value of the overall heat-transfer coefficient U thanks to the application of thermal breaks and gaskets. The profiles of this system meet the thermal requirements for the material group 2.1 in the case of windows, and 2.2 in the case of doors according to DIN 4108.

There have been used profiled "omega" shape thermal breaks - 24 mm wide (windows) and 14 mm wide (doors) made from polyamide reinforced with fiberglass. The shape of thermal breaks increases the rigidity of profiles in proportion to flat breaks, and also facilitates section drainage, ensuring at the same time appropriate thermal insulation in all atmospheric conditions.

The threshold made from HPVC and EPDM gasket guarantees good thermal insulation of the door leaves as well as air and water tightness.

The characteristic quality of this system is its closeness to the window-door MB-45 and MB-70 systems. Adapting such a type of structural design allowed to achieve and use many compatible elements in these systems, e.g. common glazing beads, corner joints, sealing strips, glazing and closing gaskets, general hardware, closing devices and hinges, as well as many identical technological processes such as pinning of connecting elements of lattices and crossbars, gluing corners joints, cutting out various recesses, etc. One of the effects of that standardization is the fact that the external and interior appearance of the products such as windows, doors, etc. made in various building systems are almost identical.
