aluminium / facade systems / mbsg-50

The MB – SG50 system is intended for the construction and production of light weight curtain walls hanging and filling types as well as roofs, skylights and other space structures designed for the use in buildings of general use. It allows for obtaining appropriate thermal insulation class for a RMG 2.1 – 1 material group according to DIN 4108 norm. The supporting structure of the MB-SG50 system is based on a mullion/transom frame of a profile width of 50mm. Transoms are mounted to the mullions in an overlay method which enables the use of different methods of mounting.
Special attention is given to the aesthetic and lightness of construction: the distance between the infill is 16 mm, the noticeable width of the profile from the internal area amounts only to 85mm. Due to the similar structure of the mullions and transoms, the appearance of the wall which is achieved from the internal area, is identical with the MB-SG50 profile system. In this way both walls may be installed side by side. This compatibility is also seen in the use of identical or closely related accessories for connecting and mounting specific components which significantly reduces construction costs.

This system gives the possibility to mechanically secure the external glass panels along the whole surface or at set points, at corners, as individually required. A very important quality of the MB-SG50 system is also the side mounting of the aluminum frames which enables the installing of opaque panels in solid brick wall.

The detailed information about the above mentioned structure is available in printed form as a supplement to the Catalogue for architects, and complete specifications for the above mentioned system may also be found in the authorized section of our website intended for aluminum structures producers co-working with us.

The system is approved by the AT-15-6060/2003 approval.
